What is the registration fee for the entrance examination?
The examination fee is 50 €; for students already enrolled at the HfM Saar, the fee for completing a further or additional aptitude test for studies is reduced to € 24.
Do I need language skills?
Prerequisite is the TestDaF3 degree (German as a foreign language test), a language exam at an advanced level. In the exam, the four skills Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Written Expression and Oral Expression are examined separately. The corresponding certificate serves as proof.

What are the requirements of the aptitude test?
Under study/study programs, you will find a form called “Entrance Exam” in the description of the respective degree program, listing the requirements.
Do I need a university-entrance diploma?
According to § 2 Abs. 3 of the aptitude test regulation, the presentation of a certificate of general university entrance qualification is not a requirement for the following bachelor programs: Artistic profile orchestral music, artistic profile orchestral instrument, artistic profile keyboard instrument / guitar and artistic profile vocal / music theater. Here, the presentation of a certificate with a medium level of education or a degree recognized as equivalent is sufficient.
For all other Bachelor programs, the presentation of a certificate of general higher education entrance qualification or a degree recognized as equivalent is required. In the case of a middle education degree, the university entrance qualification can be proven by a special gift in the form of a main subject examination (13-15 points) which corresponds to the requirements in a particular way.
When can I apply?
Registration for the winter semester is possible until the 28th of February of the same year, for the summer semester until the 31st of October of the previous year.
Are there tuition fees?
